Effects of ELV(Erythrina variegata Linne Var. orientalis(L.) Merr.) on Type Ⅱ Collagen-Induced Arthritis

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: This study was designed to elucidate the effects of ELV on Type Ⅱ Collagen-Induced Arthritis.
Methods: ELV was orally administered to rats with Type Ⅱ Collagen-Induced Arthritis and then IgG anti-collagen antibody, CRP, ESR, WBC were measured.
Results: In the sample group, a IgG anti-collagen antibody was decreased as compared with that of control group on post 2nd and 3rd and 4th week after initial immunization. In the sample group, CRP was decreased as compared with that of control group on post 2nd and 4th week after initial immunization. In the sample group, ESR wasn’t changed as compared with that of control group on post 2nd week after initial immunization, but decreased on post 4th week. In the sample group, WBC was decreased as compared with that of control group on post 2nd and 4th week after initial immunization.
Conclusions: These results suggest that ELV has a curative effect on treating Rheumatoid arthritis and we have to study its mechanism hereafter.
